Zinc is required by the body for many important processes, from metabolism to protein synthesis and wound healing. It is also crucial for proper immune function. Zinc can be found in dietary sources such as meat and shellfish, legumes and whole grains – however, it is less efficiently absorbed in plant-based sources.
Vitamin C is a known immune health booster, for good reason: it is a superb antioxidant that helps protect the body from the damaging effects of free radicals, and also encourages the production of white blood cells, a key part of the body’s defense against infection.
MEDICINAL INGREDIENTS (PER DOSE UNIT):
Zinc (Zinc Citrate, Zinc Bisglycinate) 3.5 mg.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) 200 mg.
Glycerine, Monk Fruit Extract, Orange Flavour, Stevia Leaf Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Purified Water, Xanthan Gum, Xylitol.
RECOMMENDED DOSE — (ORAL):
1 serving = 5 ml (1 teaspoon). Take with food, a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products.
Children 1 – 3 years: 1 Serving 1 time per day.
Children 4 – 9 years: 1 Serving 2 – 3 times per day.
Adolescents 10 – 13 years: 1 Serving 2 – 3 times per day.
CAUTIONS: Zinc supplementation can cause a copper deficiency. If you are unsure whether you are taking enough copper, consult a health care practitioner prior to use.
Q: When should I give my child this product?
A: Zinc is best taken with meals, and a few hours before or after other medications and Natural Health Products – especially zinc or calcium supplements.
Q: Can zinc interfere with other supplements?
